It's my Brothers birthday! (+Happy easter)

Hey guys,

It is my brothers birthday on the 1st of April (tomorrow!) but as we came on holiday to the isle of wight on Friday my brother got his special cake early! here it is:

It is a domo in the centre of the universe cake! :P

Hehhe it is very yummy and we still have lots left to enjoy so that is good!

My brothers birthday may end up being a bit Domo themed though (but that can't be a bad thing! :0) as for a gift I made him this domo case to fit his new kindle fire HD he got for his birthday (again early because we were going away). I hopes he likes it, it was fun to make though trying to get a good fit was difficult- secretly running into my brothers room and putting it on his kindle to check :P

AND HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! I hope you are all having a fantastic day, enjoying lots of chocolate eggs :P

Here as promised I bring you a picture of the secret Easter prize I made for the giveaway:

It is an easter egg pin cushion- I gave a try some of the embroidery stitches on my sewing machine to try and make it super cute =:o3

I have had a great easter :) Today we went to some little towns to do a bit of shopping and then in the evening my dad did an easter egg hunt for me and my brother so that was super fun! Look at all the yummy stuff I found:

Hehehe, I can't wait to eat it all :P My mum bought me the little knitted chick in the middle. I saw it in this craft shop when we were out and thought it was cute so she generously got me one (:<>)
I'm going to call him Darren (Because he looks like a Darren to me:P)

I'm off to bed now, ready for all the fun of my brothers birthday tomorrow. I think we are going mini golf and pizza express, yum!

See you all soon,

Bye my lovely readers xxx

Cookies and cakes :)

Hi,

As I mentioned the other day was my friends birthday :-) I wanted to make her something special as part of her gifts so I sat down to try and think of ideas. She really likes cute stuff and cookies so I came up with this little happy felt cookie purse:

I double up on the felt on each side to make it sturdier and added a little popper to close it.

It's a COOKIE you can keep your FORTUNE in lol! She liked it so I was pleased :D the little guy has gone to a good home! :0P

Hehehe, and now from cookies to cake...

Yesterday my nan, grandad and aunty came round to celebrate my nan and grandads 50th anniversary (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! :). My dad made a delicious vegetarian roast for dinner and then I was in charge of dessert. I made these special 'Red Velvet Cookie Cakes' hehe my own kind of random creation!

The cakes weren't traditional red velvet I just made a deep red vanilla sponge and then topped with vanilla butter cream and crumbled white chocolate cookies:

The went down well and If I do say so myself I thought they were quite nice (I still think my dads cakes are actually perfection though!) :-P I was a bit worried the red would put everyone off but it didn't so that was good.

After all that sugar and sweetness I will give you all a rest now, lol!

See you all soon,

Latest project

Hi everyone,

Today at my 6th form was a Comic relief/Red nose day fund raising day. Everyone had to pay a £1 to wear non uniform- including something red :) and there was other fund raising stuff going on like cake sales and some (dodgy) karaoke!

In my cupboard all I had that was red was a rather boring plain red blouse. I wanted something a bit more fun/different to wear so I got customising :-) In the end I took the cuffs and collar off, cut the front short, kept the back long but turned it into tails and added some decoration to the back. I am really pleased with how it came out, I think it is kind of marching band style :P :

It didn't take me that long either using my new sewing machine! :)

I will definitely be wearing it again, I really like it- much more than the boring shirt I had before!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend :3

 see you all soon xxxx

Bye xx

The month of Mum :P

Hola!,

As most of you will know next Sunday is Mothers day :) As well as this it is also my mums birthday next Wednesday so I have been busy prepping for both occasions :P

My mum has recently been trying out some different styles so for her birthday I thought I would give her an accessory box, a little box filled with all different little bits for her to wear. I have bought a couple of things to go in the box but I have also been making some stuff to go in it so she has some super unique accessories too! Here is all the stuff I have made so far...

A flower zipper brooch:

A crochet and felt button flower brooch and a ribbon and button bracelet:

And finally a little fabric yo-yo and ribbon necklace:

It has been fun making them and experimenting with new techniques and mixing different items :) I hope my mum likes them all. I will probably make a few more things as every time I finish one thing I get another idea, lol :P

For Mothers day I think I am getting her a film for us to watch and some chocolate for her to enjoy. I am also going to try and get a cross stitch card done.

Hehehe, lots of crafting and so few days left! I bet get started on it again :-)

See you all soon, I hope you have a lovely weekend <3 p="">

Bye my lovely friends! XxXxXxX
