A little catch up

Hello everybody,

I hope you are all well and I hope you all had a great Halloween too! Me and my family had a good time, we watched the 'Great Pumpkin' episode of Peanuts which was cool and I made these Pizzas and Garlic bread, shaped like mummies and monsters and ghosts which was also fun (the mummy ones were an idea from a Warburtons ad but I used pittas and cheestrings to create a similar effect :P):

I don't think I did too bad for the limited range of materials I had in the holiday kitchen (a bit 5-year-old-ish but I had fun!!!)

My dad also carved this funny little pumpkin face (with tiny stalk and everything!) into a yogurt peanut for me as we were all in the mood for tiny stuff after my rice keyring, and we didn't manage to pick up a real pumpkin this year:

Hehehe, it was adorable, I munched him down that evening though :P

The rest of my holiday was very good too, I picked up some more great fabric from Rainbow's and also some more special bits for the Christmas giveaway coming soon...ooooohhhh......! And this weekend at home we had some fireworks for bonfire night :)

I also finished off the rest of the green donut jumpsuit for lalaloopsy and started on a pair of dungarees too:

Hahah, the crazy dungarees fabric was actually part of the stash I bought at Rainbow's, she just needs a top to go underneath them now as it is a bit cold to be that naked :-P That is next on my to do list!

I start college again tomorrow- and I have my first lesson on costume history, YAY :D I am very excited, I have been reading my book on Corsets and suchlike over the holiday so hopefully that will help me be extra clued up.

I'm off to bed now, see you all again soon,

Bye XxXxXx

P.s. I have just listed a few more bits on my shop over the weekend (some mini Llama pin cushions!) and there are more things, like fimo buttons which I should have up by the end of this week so please do check if you get time, just in case you see something you like- just click the shop button at the top of my blog on the side to be transported there :o) Thanks! xxxxxxxxxxooooooxxxxx Bye :3

Sunday style

Hi guys,

Today I bring you two Sunday styles (hehehee, because I wore one of them on Saturday- not Sunday but sshhh :P)

First is a slightly more sophisticated Sunday style, well no crazy coloured wig this time!
It is this bird dress with long straps that tie at the back of the neck :o):

It is made out of a spare curtain from a pack my mum bought for the porch. She asked me did I want it and I was like if it's fabric I'll have it! And I think I managed to put it to good use. I wore the dress to dog racing with my family and it was pretty hot so I'm glad what I made was cool and flowy :)

Hehehe, a slightly more usual Sunday style now (but still no wig sadly- it is too hot!)..... a pair of doughnut print culottes:

With little kawaii blue star buttons I got from japan- this is the first piece of clothing I have flat pattern drafted from measurements to block to adding pockets and a fly so I was pleased they came out with a relatively good fit- a little bit of adjustment needed but nothing major :) The were verrryyy comfy as being culottes and not shorts they were a bit more roomy, I wore them round to lunch at some family friends. They were fun to make and to wear! :P

I hope you are all having a lovely week,

See you soon,

Bye xxx

Sunday Style

Hello,

It has been a while since I posted a Sunday Style outfit so I thought it's about time I did!

So today I bring you the mix and match blue kimono style jacket/top I designed and made with matching blue wig and crocheted Minnie mouse style head band :0):

(Once again I haven't had a chance to wear it yet but when I do I shall post a picture :)

The back is done in the same half and half style but opposite so it looks cool and different from the back too! I got the two different fabrics in the IOW a while ago and then one day got thinking how it would be cool to use them together and they are quite contrasting but sort of do compliment each other in a way too:

It fastens at the top with a little bow of blue heart ribbon.

And here is a close up of the head band- the novelty yarn I had was perfect for making it with:

I am really pleased with this look to add to my Sunday style collection.

I hope you all like it too! :3

See you all soon, thanks for letting me share my creations with you :)

Byeeeee xxx

Hello everyone!

A couple of days my outfit parcel from my partner in the Blythe swap arrived :D I was going to take pictures then but my camera battery ran out :( Oh well, never mind, now I have more batteries though so I can show off what I got in may lovely parcel :0)

Here are Catherine and Candy modelling the beautiful new additions to thier wardrobe. Candy loves the sweater and skirt, they compliment her hair so well and Catherine's spotty dress is so bright and happy! But who is that down if front? I hear you ask.... this is the new super cute addition to my blythe family also sent to me by my very genrous swap partner :)

I think I will call her Christina!

You couldn't see in the picture above but this is the bow headband which goes with Candy's dress, I love it! Sooo cute!

And if the spotty dress wasn't cool enough already it is also reversible, here is the pattern on the inside:

As well as all this my swap partner also included some little shiny star buttons and some charms in the parcel and said I could choose a free blythe pattern from her shop on ravelry, how kind! Thank you PandoraPhelps! :o)

Hehehe, here is Etty (short for Etty-Madeline, her full name :) talking to Christina and waiting for her turn to try on some of the beautiful clothes:

I made her the brown evening dress myself out of an old cushion cover, lol!

Hehehe, see you all soon,

Bye! XXX

P.s There are only a few days left to enter the mini blythe giveaway so don't miss out on your chance to win a little friend! Good luck :-)

Blythe outfit swap

Hello everyone :)

A while ago on Ravelry I joined the Knitting for Blythe group and a month ago a handmade outfit swap was opened! I was really excited and signed up straight away and got to work on an idea for my outfit, last week I posted mine off and may partner has now received it (and really likes it!!!! :0D) so now I can show it to you. It was apple themed and I tried to package it up like a real outfit you can buy, I call my outfit 'Orchard cutie!':

I designed the dress and hat, the scarf was inspired by the one I was sent by the lovely Laura in the cute and quirky swap and used a pattern from Puchi Collective for the shirt :) I hand felted the little apple too, just for fun!

As an extra I included these little crocheted Bunny slippers (my own pattern :)

Hehehe, It was really fun making my outfit!

I can't wait to see what outfit I get sent to meeee! :D

See you all soon,

Bye XXX

Introducing... Candy! :)

Hi everyone :)

For passing my driving theory test my nan (very generously!) gave me £20 to spend on whatever I wanted, later when I was looking at stuff on ebay I saw some beautiful basaak dolls, Blythe clones, which were only about £21 each so I ordered one using my treat money and the other day she arrived!!!! She like Catherine was very nicely packaged and tied up string and everything:

And here she is...

I called her Candy :)
(a suggestion from knittinggirl on Ravelry which seems to fit her perfectly and she loves!)

She is quite shy but her and Catherine are getting on like a house on fire! Catherine is very happy to have a new friend :)

Candy's hair clip was one of the many pretty extras (The seller even included a pretty little bag for me with London buses and things on, so cute!) which came with her but I designed and made the outfit she is wearing in the picture for her :0)

Catherine's new coat was a gift to me for passing my theory test from my mum (I have a very generous family! :-) She really likes it and doesn't want to take it off because it keeps her soo snuggly and warm!

Im off now, I have some work to do before having pizza for dinner and then watching glee with my mum Catherine and Candy, lol :P

See you all soon,

Bye from all three of us! xxx

Happy, happy, happy , my lovely Blythe arrived! :D

Hello everyone!
Quite a while ago some of you may remember that I posted about Blythe dolls and how I really wanted one... well a couple of weeks ago I managed to pick one up on eBay for a really good price (about £62) and today she arrived!!!!!!!!!! :D

The parcel was soo beautifully wrapped (with string and everything!!!) which made me even more excited when I saw it when I got home from 6th form!

I carefully opened the parcel and found my lovely doll inside <3 She is a simply chocolate Blythe :P

Whilst I have been waiting for her to come I knitted her a hat using this: simple Blythe hat pattern I found on Ravelry and sewed her a little dress using this! pattern. Here she is all snuggled up wearing both!:

After the long journey she has had (all the way from Hong Kong!) we have just been relaxing and watching T.V together.
I decided to name her Catherine :) She said she liked the name a lot and she really likes Mr. Mini Circus Elephant too! :0)

I'm so excited about all the fun we are going to have together! And all the lovely outfits I can make for her :D

See you all soon,

bye from me (and Catherine!) XxX
