Recycled quilt

Hi everyone,

The other day I was sifting through my sewing box and found the beginnings of this quilt I started making out of old t-shirts and fabric:

I completely forgot about it but was happy to have stumbled across it as I was looking for my next project :) It might take me a long while because I want it to be realllllly big and snuggly! I have lots of old t-shirt and bed-spread fabric, I think it will look really cool and colourful when it is done as all the fabric is of different textures and patterns.

I think I'll go sew on the next hexagon now :D

I hope you all have a lovely weekend,

See you all soon xxx

Pirate ship t-shirt!

Hello everyone :)

Welcome to my new followers also! Today was non uniform day at my 6th Form and I decided I would wear my domo hat about a week ago! I wasn't sure what top to wear though but then I remembered I had a stitched pirate ship t-shirt I started making agggeesss ago for a themed party but then it got cancelled :( So I thought I would finish it off for today, I managed it just in time:

I was really happy because everyone said it was really good :-)

I got the fabric in a bag of cuttings I bought from a craft shop in the IOW a while ago (I think I posted about it, it was only a £1 but I have found so many uses for all the bits of fabric so far!)

I really want to try stitching some more t-shirt designs soon, I have had lots of ideas.... hehehe :)

I am off to keep working on the ATC's I making for a swap I am doing with Laura from Cute crocheted creations at the end of March, I am sooo excited!

See you all soon,

Bye xxx

Bonjour les amis!

Last week I was looking for some new cool/quirky t-shirts on the internet. I had browzed several stores and thought I would  find nothing, but then I came across Cafe Press (http://www.cafepress.co.uk/) which sells loads of different t-shirts with hundreds of themes including knitting and crochet related ones that were realllllllllly cool!

Here are some of my faves!:

I really wanna get this one for easter!

Hahaha :)

And last but not least....

......ANGRY YARN!

I basically want ALL of them, however at about £18 each I'll have to grow my collection slowly! :)

They have bags too so I can say good bye to my savings, lol!

From angry yarn to an angry orange! I gave my sewing skills another spin the other day and made this guy:

Well, Ill leave you staring into his deep black eyes while I go off to buy t-shirts :0)
