More hats!

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't posted sooner! I have been settling into my new uni accommodation (the house I share with a landlady and her dog Mabel :P) and have been going into the college for the different induction days too- I start properly sewing/costume making/my course on Wednesday!!! :D Soo close now!!!!

 

I have finished a few more hats in the time I have had because the induction days in the college aren't full days so I have been having a morning or afternoon off most days.

 

Here is my little collection of apple/fruit hats:

 

They were quite quick to make but hopefully quite fun, and I think they are pretty appropriate for the fruit smoothie bottles they will be sold on! :oP

 

Some little 'love hats' (using my applique heart I designed on top)- I am probably going to make several more of these in some different colour combos :):

 

Hehehe, and last but not least my ice cream scoop hat! This one is mint choc chip (my new food love!) I will probably also try to re-create some other flavours too as these ones are super fun to make with the little cherry and whipped cream :o):

 

I am home for the weekend now so it is nice to be with my family again, I missed them lots being away from home just a few days! I'm off now to raid my fridge to get the leftover cake from my birthday that they have saved for me whilst I have been away- and probably to get started on more hats :P Then we are heading off to Autographica (an event where you can meet astronauts etc... that my brother likes to visit each year).

Gift Wrap Giveaway!!!

I thought it was about time for another giveaway- this time I thought I would make it a bit different though :) Usually I give away things you can add to your creations but this time I thought I would giveaway a bundle of items you can wrap your creations with so that you can have fun making them extra pretty for when you give them to people as gifts!

Mums Birthday!

Hola!

Today is my Mums Birthday :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!!!!

As always I like to make a handmade gift, as well as giving bought gifts when it is my family's birthdays and for my Mum's birthday I decided to make her a mug cosy. I made one using one pattern but then when I had finished it it wouldn't fit any mug in the house! So I looked for another pattern and found one for a lovely cabled mug cosy :) I am happy with how it turned out, I hope my mum likes it! She is opening her gifts when we all get home from school/work:

I used a little heart button to fasten it :-)

Swap biscornu- It arrived!

Hello everybody!

It took an extra day (my post is very slow at the moment :-/) but it arrived today, the biscornu from partner camilalino82!!!!! :) It is so lovely, look :0):

It is defintley the perfect first addition to my new biscornu collection!

The parcel I sent for this months cute and quirky swap (valentines themed) has arrived with my partner, Holly, so now I can show you the felt heart decoration I made:

Im back! (+ valentines day update)

Hola,

I am back from holiday now, I would have kept you all updated but there was no internet where I was so I have had to save my pictures till now :) Hehehehe, I will try not to bore you all :0)

First up HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!! I was a bit sad I couldn't wish you all a happy, lovey, dovey day on the 14th so I had to do it now! My family loved their bookmarks so I was very happy :) I was also super happy because my dad gave me this lovely chocolate lolly from 'Chocolate island' (one of my fave shops on the IOW) as a valentines gift...

It was sooo delicious, I had to wrestle it off Domo, Etty M and Candy first though! Hehehe :oP

For dinner my dad also made heart shaped pizzas and garlic breads for dinner too, here are the garlic breads but the pizzas got eaten before I could take a picture:

They were super yummy too!

I really hope everyone had a lovely day :-)

In other news, I now bring you a picture of the infamous choc dipped Ice cream, I think I wrote about these in my last IOW holiday post but didn't remember to take a picture, but this time I did and this time I had a super duper double one.... mmmmm....

It was very big, but not quite as big as the one outside the ice cream shop.....

hahaha :D

Project special slippers: Complete!

Hello!

Ever since I recieved the really cool hello kitty buttons from my swap partner I was determined to use them in a special project. When I found the pattern for the slipper socks I knew the butttons would look great on them and now I have finished them I think I was right! :)

Im really pleased with them!

Instead of a white border I just went with the blue to blend in but added one of my white heart appliques to the front of each foot for decoration intead.

At first the straps were a bit too big but I stitched a bit of them in a loop inside and now they fit perfectly :D

And they are all ready for me to wear on my holiday in Ipswich ( I leave tomorrow! :) Now my feet will be nice and snug as I relax and watch telly :3

Another project I finished recently (well actually started and finished in one night) was this little apple cozy:

The pattern was in this months Issue of Knit Today magazine and I couldnt resist casting on when I saw it!

I bought a pack of the sunflower buttons when I was in Japan which Im really pleased about now as it was the perfect finishing touch. I love it when you've got just the perfect button for the job :) I also added a stalk (by casting on 2sts and knitting a few rows in Gst) to make it look just that bit more realistic.

Guten tag guys!

I hope everyones ok :) Yesterday was a pretty good day for me. Not only did I get some valentines gifts from my family I also came home to my parcel from the Cute 'N' Quirky march swap on ravelry! The theme was love and romance (seen as February is the month of looovvvvveeee <3).

I got a packet of heart buttons, some cute Miffy stickers, a Hello kitty magic flannel (which I cant wait to turn full size :0), some veggie jelly bears YUM!!! :P and one very cool handmade object named Mr. Anti-Valentine who I LOVE!

He is amazingly fab!

Thank you soo much to my great swap partner, everything is fantastic :D

I love swaps, they are so fun. They really brighten your day when you get a surprise parcel.

I will be posting again very soon as I have basically finished my special slippers with the hello kitty buttons from the last swap so I will be putting up pictures :)

Today is valentines day!!!! I hope you are all having fun :)

As a special valentines present for all my friends I made a pattern for these mini heart applique/things <3

I whipped up lots of them in all different colours and bought some sweeties too :P

I gave them all out today and my friends thought they were really cute :3



I like to spread the love on valentines.................. :0)
