SUPER SHEEP!

Hi!
When I was on holiday in cornwall I came across a shop that sells cartoons called clives cats. I had seen some of the cats before in different shops but had never seen the super sheep :D As a knitter I immediately have an interest in sheep related items so I went to have a look. They are soooo funny. If a friend who is a knitters birthday is coming up (like mine *hint hint* lol) head over to the website and check out the super sheep greetings cards and give them a smile :)

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!

I came home today to find a parcel with my name on it :) (oooohh exciting) Inside was a beautiful Namaste knitting bag from a Knit today competition that I had completely forgot I had entered! Ooooooohhhhhh its lovely and it will match my jumper......(when I finish it that is :/)

Marmite and Blythe what do they have in common?...

I was looking on ravelry at Knitting and crochet patterns for dolls and came across several patterns for Blythe.....

I was intrigued I have never seen I doll like it, I think I'd have to say I love it and really want my own to knit lots of clothes for her :)

I'm going to Japan In October and hope to be able to get one there so I can.

Meanwhile I think I'll practice. If anyone else has one or just, like me has a compelling urge to knit and crochet little items for her ravelry has lots of little patterns that are irresistible :)

Or do you find her creepy?.......................

Charity Chicks

Currently I am knitting chicks for a cancer charity. It is my first ever charity knitting project so I am quite excited my aim is to knit 50 and I am on about 20 at the moment, I still have until January so I should make it :)

Button Monsters!

I'm sure many of you have a button box already but if you don't I reccomend you make one :)

Using my recently created one I made these mini button monsters. Take a look inside your button box and get some inspiration to create your own. There quick and allow you to be creative. Make them in whatever colour ,whatever shape and don't forget to give each one a name! :)

(Pink: Tina, Yellow: Lemon, Purple: Sindy, Green: Wood-eye, Black: Stealthy, Blue: Softy)

WOW!
I recently joined Ravelry the online site for knitters and crocheters, Its huge! I'm finding it confusing but also highly enjoyable and everyone is soooo nice :) Ive learned so much already. If you are a knitter or crocheter or are interested in such things (which you probably are looking at this blog, ahhaha) Get your self down there and have a look!

P.s If anyone has any tips or good groups to join please post them in the comments section. (I need all the help I can get!)

Shreddies: Knitted by nanas

Hola!

I don't know about you but ever since I saw the advert for the shreddies knitted by nanas i've wanted to be a knitting nana. Until today I had been stifling my dream (hahaha) . Today I finally decided to knit some shreddies and for all who feel like me I am also including the pattern so you can knit your own. knit a bowl, knit a box or just knit one BE A KNITTING NANA!!!!! :)

Shreddies Pattern :

Using brown yarn and 3 1/4 mm knitting needles cast on 7 sts

*Row 1: (M1, K2tog) repeat 3 times, K1 (7 sts)

Row 2: Purl*


Row 3 - 6: Repeat from * to * 2 more times

Cast off


Fasten and cut off any loose ends (you can also stretch your shreddie slightly to open up eyelets more)

Abbreviations :

• K= Knit
• K2tog= Knit 2 stitches together
• sts = stitches
• M1 = Make 1 by winding yarn around needle

Jean Greenhowe's Jiffyknits

Hi,
I'm on holiday in the Isle of Wight at the moment and when looking round a local knitting and craft shop I came across a pattern book entitled Jean Greenhowe's Jiffyknits. It is the perfect pattern book for a beginner as everything in it is made from garter stitch strips and squares. I only wish I had this book when I first started as it is much more exciting than the usual scarf. Inside are patterns for all different cute items from a tin of baked beans to the invisible man! All the patterns are very quick and rarely use more than 25g of yarn so are great for stash busting so will even benefit the intermediate knitter. You can buy Jiffyknits patterns from Jean Greenhowe's website. There are also some good free patterns on there as well so it is well worth a look.

Pop and Sicle

Hello again,

Seen as it is now summer I thought I would show you my latest creation that are the duo of Pop and Sicle.

Once I had finished them they couldn't wait to go out......

Their day started in the cold cold place that is my freezer as this is where Pop and Sicle live.

Pop being pink and Sicle being yellow.

While no one was looking they made their escape.....

They went to the beach, here are some of their snaps. Enjoy......

However they couldn't stay very long as it was very hot so they made their way back to the freezer and snuggled in tight.
